During September 5-6, the 8th Qualitative Methods Conference: "Something for Nothing--Subjectivity and society in the new economy" takes place in Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa. Please note that also a virtual conference is organized from May 1 to September 30.

During September 19-21, 2002, the Swiss Sociological Association, Research Committee "Interpretive Sociology" and the European Sociological Association ESA, Research Network "Qualitative Methods" with participation of the RN "Sociology of Arts" are organizing a Conference on "Ethnographic Organizational Studies".
