The Professional Habitus in Empirical Research" by Andreas FRANZMANN examines the professionalization of science and its influence on research practices. The empirical section presents scientists’ commitment and their inclination towards dynamic and high-risk research. The investigation, however, is restricted to the perspectives of scientists conducting basic research in autonomous research settings.
